The Little Joys Worth Noticing

We spend so much of our lives waiting for the big, obviously beautiful moments — the milestones, the celebrations, the days worth photographing. And those are good. But if we're only counting those, we're missing almost all of it.

Because the truth is, the beautiful life isn't waiting somewhere in the future. It's tucked into the smallest, most ordinary corners of a completely average day. We just have to slow down enough to catch it.

A few we caught this week

The first sip of coffee while the house is still quiet. Little feet padding down the hallway too early. Sunlight moving across the kitchen floor. A voice memo from a friend that made you laugh out loud. Fresh sheets. A window cracked open. The specific weight of a sleeping child on your chest.

What makes each of our lives so beautiful is that they are made up of so many pieces meant just for us.

An invitation

Here's a gentle challenge for the week ahead: keep a running list — on your phone, in a notebook, wherever — of the little joys you catch. Don't wait for them to be impressive. A good song. A warm shower. A text back. A tiny hand in yours.

You'll be amazed how quickly the list fills, and how much goodness was there all along, just waiting to be noticed. There is so much of it growing right where you are.

God is within her. She will not fail.
